We love the kelp beds off San Diego and want to share it with more people and hope they learn to love it as much as we do. We are collecting time-lapse images and data and will update it every month.

We expected a strong El Nino event in late 2023. So, we set up four study sites. We wanted to see what would happen. Well, at least locally, (thank goodness) it didn’t damage the kelp beds. Now that we have started, we plan to just keep going and maybe even expanding…
